SheepDog makes tracking miles easy in the cloud

If you have ever experienced purchasing a notebook and pen to place in your vehicle glove box with the best intentions of tracking your miles, only to find the same notebook weeks later with little or nothing to show for your travels, Milely was built for you (and your business).

Today, Halifax based SheepDogInc has released Milely.com BETA, merging technology and mileage tracking to solve this problem for good.

Adding to the functionality of the application, Milely integrates seamlessly with the Google Calendar and Google Maps pulling in already scheduled events and details, limiting time spent on multiple entry of data. “It is this type of mapping of technology to business process that makes Milely stand above the competition”, says director of Development Brandon Kolybaba. A clear system offering features like management approvals, entry auditing and custom reporting add to the application’s success in solving commonly faced business needs and the availability of the application on Android and iPhone offer Milely in mobile.

The Milely.com BETA launch will be free for up to 10 users to test in organizations and feedback will be used to enhance the product for full release in the new year. Like other SAAS applications, users will experience new features added to Milely frequently as updates happen.

Sheepdog’s expert team of developers, led by Adam Thurlow built the cloud application leveraging the expertise they have gained over three years of being a Google Apps Authorized Reseller focused on the Canadian market.

“By working closely with enterprise IT and management teams, SheepDog has been able to identify gaps in business work flows and fill those gaps with cloud technology integrated with their current Google Apps platform.”

Milely follows the successful release of other SheepDog applications including the gTrax time tracking application. The team at SheepDog will intensify focus on the development of cloud business applications in the new year expecting to meet the needs of millions of cloud technology users worldwide.
